Access to Health

Submitted by: Nick Mellors

Describe your idea. How does it work and who does it help?

In many areas, particularly rural areas, the nearest service (GP, dentist etc) may not be the most accessible.

If the NHS Choices 'Find a Service' were integrated with Transport Direct the search facility could identify services which had ready public transport links and also, on entering their own post code/address, the public transport route to the service could be made available without having to do multiple web searches

What information or services do you need?

NHS Choices & Transport Direct
