Rate My Park

Submitted by: Mike Simpson

Describe your idea. How does it work and who does it help?

Search by postcode/region/facilities etc. for local parks and recreational spaces.

Parents & young people can find suitable local places to go including what facilities are nearby like shops, toilets, places to eat etc.

They can also share photos of the parks, opinions about the quality of facilities, ideas for improvements, interesting local info etc.

In addition to being a resource for helping people plan days out it can also potentially be a source of information for local authorities on what facilities and improvements are needed where.

What information or services do you need?

maps of local parks & recreational spaces. Details of provision and contact details for those responsible for maintenance and other potential issues such as reporting needles, graffiti, antisocial behaviour etc.
