Healthy Britain

Submitted by: Antony Jones

Describe your idea. How does it work and who does it help?

I think this will help in many areas, for the public to view and also to help local and national government target health initiatives. It could also start a national health league table and could have a big benefit to the national health service.

Information such as average number of doctors visits per household, percentage of smokers, cancer rates etc.

There really is a lot of information that could be very usefull and interesting to everyone.

For an example of use to the general public, if you have to move house you will have viewed the house but you may be unaware of the surrounding area. The website could give a valuable insight, and help you decide whether you would like your children to go to a school in the area because of the rate of children admitted to hospital as a result of a crime. It could also help the local council target the crime rate in that area.

I think it is beneficial to everyone and has the potential to make massive savings to the NHS.

What information or services do you need?

GIS mapping information and NHS statistics.
